Saiga shotgun or carbine conversion
The Saiga shotgun or carbine conversion of a customer-provided gun consists of the following:
- Installation of a SAW pistol grip
- Stock replaced to include installation of the adapter plate
- Move the new trigger assembly forward to the factory original position
- Install the replacement bolt stop/safety selector
- Install muzzle brake of choice
- Install a replacement forend (usually a quad rail of customers choice)
- Plug receiver holes from old style trigger
- Function test
The total price for the complete conversion and installation of all parts, whether customer provided or purchased through me, is $295, plus shipping and FFL transfer charges.
Customers generally have the best results with parts purchased from the following vendors:

Parts for the complete conversion run from approximately $400 to $650. I receive Dealer discounts from many of the suppliers so please let me price check for you. Also, if you find a particular part you would like to have installed on your Saiga, it’s best to give me a call to ensure it is compatible with what we are building. Always best to avoid the “Frankengun” effect when using aftermarket parts. Try an internet search for Saiga conversions and Saiga parts to get an idea of what’s available. No work will be started until all parts are received, test fitted, and the customer has approved the project.
Lastly, all modifications are done in compliance with USC 18, Title 18 USC § 922(r), and, 27 C.F.R. Section 478.39 which states (a) No person shall assemble a semiautomatic rifle or any shotgun using more than 10 of the imported parts listed in paragraph (c) of this section if the assembled firearm is prohibited from importation under section 925(d)(3) as not being particularly suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes.
